LindaRD has a BS from Syracuse University in Nutrition and an MS from New York University in Nutrition and Dietetics. She has been enjoying her work as a Registered Dietitian for 25 years based in Contra Costa County and serving all surrounding counties. LindaRD is happily married and has two grown daughters. She always tells the families that she works with, “I am living your life in your shoes as a mom and wife”.
LindaRD has a passion working with kids and teens. Since passing the 50 year mark, she has developed an expertise with middle age and seniors with nutrition problems that come with age. Her newest passion is working with menopausal women, weight loss, PCOS, infertility and kidney disease.
You will find LindaRD often at Safeway, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods giving her clients supermarket tours. You will also find her along with her husband checking out the latest restaurants and keeping up with the latest food trends. She wants you to continue enjoying your restaurants and she will teach you how to do so.
LindaRD’s family history has been affected by child and teen obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. Her father passed away in his 40’s due to a heart attack.
LindaRD was 60 lbs overweight until she studied Nutrition at college. She spent years learning about misconceptions of foods and how to change her eating habits with the inclusion of her favorite foods. She lost those excess pounds in one year and has successfully kept them off ever since.

Jackie Peterson, RD, CDCES is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, and proud mom who is passionate about helping families build healthy, balanced lifestyles.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from San Diego State University and has extensive experience in diabetes care, chronic kidney disease (CKD), pediatric nutrition, and obesity management. In addition to being certified in Obesity Interventions for Adults, Jackie has a special interest in working with children and families to create sustainable habits that support growth, development, and lifelong health.
As both a clinician and a mother, Jackie understands the real-life challenges families face when it comes to mealtimes, picky eating, busy schedules, and navigating medical diagnoses. She provides compassionate, practical, and family-centered counseling that helps parents feel confident and children feel empowered — without guilt or restriction.
Before starting her private practice, Jackie worked in hospitals, outpatient clinics, nursing homes, and at a summer camp serving children, teens, and families living with Type 1 diabetes. She has trained patients on the latest diabetes technologies, including continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps, and participated in research projects at UCSF.
Jackie frequently receives referrals from local endocrinologists, nephrologists, internists, and family physicians and maintains strong collaborative relationships within the medical community.
She is contracted with most major insurance plans that provide nutrition coverage and assists clients by verifying benefits and submitting electronic claims.
Jackie loves helping clients plan meals around their favorite foods, provides customized recipes, and even offers grocery store tours. She is committed to ongoing support and enjoys helping families navigate real-life situations — from restaurant outings to birthday parties.
