BEETS ARE GREAT FOR YOU

Beets are one of those overlooked vegetables and I am always suggesting to
my clients to make them a part of their meals. They are even available now
precooked at Trader Joe’s in the refrigerated section and are nice and chilled
and can quickly be sliced and added to salads. You can also buy sliced or
shoestring beets in cans by S&W. They are naturally sweet and low in calories.
I tell clients to keep them chilled so you can always add them to a green salad.
Cook the beet greens like you would cook spinach, swiss chard or even escarole.

How to Break That Plateau

All the time I hear from my clients that they have been stuck at the same weight
for days, weeks or even months. They become very frustrated and very often give up.
They have episodes of consoling themselves with bags of cookies because they have convinced themselves that they cannot lose weight. They officially have reached a
plateau, meaning that all their progress has come to a standstill.

Are You Too Busy to Eat Healthy?

Everyday I hear in my office that people are overstressed or overworked
and this gets in the way of them eating healthy. They say that there is no
time to do all that is necessary to make sure they are eating the right foods.
They are overwhelmed when thinking about changing their eating habits,
exercising and finding the time to prepare healthy meals and having to
read those food labels in the store.
